I wrote this song for my daughter when we she started the hormonal therapy required for her upcoming sex change. Already at age 5 she had mentioned to us that she was a girl trapped inside a boy’s body but we did not think much of it at that time because she was so young. However as the years went by, she became extremely anxious and the urge to come out as a girl was getting stronger and stronger. When she was 10 we agreed to support her through the transition. This song is me trying to put her feelings into words as we embraced her transition into her true self.
